So, here are some helpful suggestions if you or someone you know has been injured in a car accident:

If you or someone else has been injured, call 911

  • Report the accident to law enforcement officials at the scene or file a report at the police station along with witnesses
  • Get driver information: name, address, telephone numbers, drivers license number, insurance company, and vehicle information
  • Get officer information: name, badge number, agency (police, deputy, trooper, etc.)
  • Get witness information: names, addresses, phone numbers
  • If you have a camera, take pictures of your injuries and the scene of the accident
